 ABOUT US

Who We Are

We are a human neuroscience laboratory based at the Boys Town National Research Hospital near Omaha, Nebraska. Using functional and structural neuroimaging, cognitive science, and neuropsychological testing, we strive to understand the neural mechanisms that drive a diverse array of cognitive functions across the lifespan, both in healthy populations and as a function of disease.

Our goal is to leverage our findings to drive enhanced detection and intervention in clinical populations who suffer from cognitive impairments.

OUR WORKS

What We Do

Functional Neuroimaging

We use advanced functional neuroimaging methods, such as magnetoencephalography (MEG) and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), to study brain dynamics.

Neuropsychological Testing

We administer broad neuropsychological batteries to many of our participants, to better understand the effects of disease or intervention on complex cognitive functions.

Neurostimulation

Non-invasive neurostimulation techniques, such as transcranial electrical stimulation (tES) and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), help us understand how perturbing brain networks can affect neural activity and behavior.
