HIV and Substance Use (Cannabis + Meth) Research Study

Researchers at Boys Town Institute for Human Neuroscience are looking for participants who are currently living with HIV to complete a noninvasive brain imaging study investigating cannabis use and methamphetamine use.

  • Who is eligible to participate?

    • At least 19 years old

    • Able to complete a series of mental tests

    • Living with HIV and uses cannabis or methamphetamines

    • Living with HIV and does not currently use recreational substances

  • What does the study involve?

    • 3-5 research visits all 3 hours in length

    • Mental testing

    • MEG scans

    • MRI scan

    • Substance use history interview

    • Blood draw

  • Compensation is $100 per research visit. Participants can earn up to $770 for completing optional activities.
